When users create images they think are worth sharing, they post them to the PicsArt network, where you can follow users and find new art through search or hashtags. The editor also provides users with various stickers, gifs and challenges to introduce you to the amazing artwork. Although the photo editor is overrated, it can be difficult to find the right one for your needs. A bit like Goldilocks and the Bear, one editor will be very difficult, the next will have no layers, and the third can be very difficult to get right. Can PicsArt change all that? The download and installation process for PicsArt is available as a Windows 10 app, so you need to download it through the Microsoft Store. It is also available for Android and iPhone. Once it’s installed, you’ll need to log in, which you can do by signing up with an email or via multiple sign-in services. Once logged in, you must create an account and choose a username and password. PicsArt for Windows 10: Looks like PicsArt looks good, which is good for a photo app. The main interface is occupied by a variety of bright and eye-catching images, with editing and collage options at the top. At the top of the window are settings and profile buttons, all very basic. When you start using the app, it will ask you to select an image. This can be from your computer, from your free photo library, a photo you’ve already saved to your profile, or even a photo from Facebook or Instagram, although these are probably easier to choose from if you’re using PicsArton mobile.
Once you’ve selected a photo, the collage maker or editor will launch. Prepare to be overwhelmed: the PicsArt editor has a steep learning curve. The options available to you are to the left of the main image. Below this main screen, options are available within the selection you just made and on the left side you can edit or select the layers you want to use.
PicsArt Collage is a little easier, but barely. You’ll see layout options on the left and bottom, and you’ll be able to make changes to the collage’s appearance through the layout options on the right. When you’re happy with the final product, you can save it to your computer, share it with a variety of Microsoft-based applications, or share it with the PicsArt community.
What kind of editing can you do with PicsArt? There’s no end to the options you have for editing your photos in PicsArt; that’s what makes the learning curve so steep. The most important part is that the editor supports layers, like Photoshop. This makes it much easier to do cool things with the app. Apart from that, there is a world of features that allow you to make amazing art.
PicsArt’s editing tools focus on the fun side rather than the serious side of photo design, but you can still get pretty creative. There are standard editing functions such as cropping, resizing and adding text, as well as adding stickers and filters, lighting for lenses, zooming, moving, copying and more. Some features are premium only, but from within the app it’s not clear which is which until you click.In fact, there are so many features that you may need to spend some time getting to know them all.
Is there anything good? From a theoretical point of view, PicsArt is a truly creative program that provides artistic forms for hours of fun. You can definitely make great photos to share on social media with PicsArtnetwork, although it takes a while to get the hang of it. PicsArt has a fun website with lots of challenges and a great social network that comes with engaging in. From this perspective, PicsArts is great.
Unfortunately, it was not good to use the software in practice. It crashed several times while we were testing it, and when it did work, it took too long to load images and apply effects. It slowed down the creative process and made using the software less frustrating.
Good in theory, not so much in practice. We really wanted to like PicsArt, and to some extent we did. It’s a great app for people who are serious about editing photos for fun. It doesn’t give you the same control as something more professional like Photoshop, but it gives you more sharing options than alternative photo editors like Photos! Published by PictBear. It is designed for the Instagram generation and it works very well.
Unfortunately, it was a pain in the neck to use. If it wasn’t slow it would crash and freeze, and if it actually worked it would load a huge ad every time I selected a new image. This is a major problem and it really interfered with our enjoyment of this app.
